What is a Surface Inspection System?

Equipments that visually inspects the surface of unpatterned sheet materials, such as food packaging materials and various optical films for smartphones and tablets, are called "Surface Inspection Systems." There are various objects that can be inspected, such as paper, non-woven fabric, metal, and processed products based on them. By installing Futec's unique optical system that uses a line sensor camera and light sources such as LED in the production and processing process, defects such as scratches and dirt can be detected. Defect images can be displayed, saved, and classified on the monitor, which is useful for quality control and business improvement.
